Assistant Accountant-Secretarial Duties

Receiving purchase orders and making requisitions, preparing the various journals to record store related transactions, reconciling the various journals and submitting to the chief Accountant, supervising the activities and performance of workers under my department, using inventory control technics like FIFO to control the level of stocks, reconciling bank transactions, assistant in tax declaration by the chief Accountant.

During this period, I served at the customer service, carried out sales promotion campaigns during the back to school periods, often in the accountants office, I was called up to do filing, also assisted in preparing some financial statements, and carried out some inter-bank transactions at my level. I did a lot of typing and preparing certain required documents using Microsoft packages and dispatching through email or the company’s system. This and many others were my daily activities.
