Miya is a Cameroonian fundraising platform. We believe in the power of the community and as they say, many hands do light work.
Most fundraising platforms, such as GoFundMe do not offer donations with payment options such as Mobile Money or Orange Money which greatly limits the potential of Cameroonians supporting and contributing the projects and charities they care about.
This is why we built Miya. To give every Cameroonian a voice and an opportunity to support the organizations, communities and projects they care about.
Some ways in which users are using are platform include:
1) Organizations: NGO's and several types of Non-Profits can use our platform to create fundraising campaigns for different types of projects including charities, outreach and sensitization
2) Communities: Communities can use our platform to create fundraising campaigns for various types of development projects, such as constructing social infrastructures such as schools, clinics, public libraries etc
3) Individuals: Individuals can also use our platform to create fundraising campaigns for themselves. This could be for severe aid in cases of healthcare etc
